About us

“There’s a mountain in the Pyrenees where cycling has a history.”

At the foot of Pic-du-Midi, under the gaze of the Giant, the Col du Tourmalet has forged cycling legend.
A pivotal point between the valleys of Bigorre, a gateway to an authentic territory, the strength of these mountains has helped men to grow.

Legend: Octave Lapize, the first cyclist to cross the Col du Tourmalet during the Tour de France in the Pyrenees in 1910.
After him, champions, shepherds, farmers, men and women who work and thrive in these valleys and then meet up again on these mythical roads.

We wanted to bring these people together.
As a tribute to Lapize, we wanted to create a place to live, a House: Chez Octave.
Here in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, Pyrenean adventure-seekers, cycling enthusiasts and initiates alike can get together and share a real-life experience.
For a coffee before a ride, a meal with friends after an outing, to talk about your bike, maintain it, restore it or discover it, this house will be welcoming, and we’ll be putting our hearts into it to bring Pyrenean hospitality to life.

Hard work, sincerity, passion, a touch of retro and an eye to the future – these are the values of this adventure.

Octave’s Team.
