About us

“There’s a mountain in the Pyrenees where cycling has a history.”

At the foot of the Pic-du-Midi, under the gaze of the Giant, the Col du Tourmalet has forged the legend of cycling.
A tipping point between the valleys of Bigorre, a gateway to an authentic territory, the strength of these mountains has made men grow.

In legend: Octave Lapize, the first cyclist to cross the Col du Tourmalet during the Tour de France in the Pyrenees in 1910.
After him, champions, shepherds, farmers, men and women who work and thrive in these valleys and then meet again on these mythical roads.

We wanted to bring these people together.
As a tribute to Lapize, we wanted a place to live, a Maison: Chez Octave.
Here, in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, those curious about Pyrenean adventures, cycling enthusiasts and initiates will be able to meet up and share real moments in life.
For a coffee before a ride, a meal with friends after an outing, to talk about bikes, maintain them, restore them or discover them, this house will be welcoming, and we’ll be putting our hearts into it to bring Pyrenean hospitality to life.

Hard work, sincerity, passion, a touch of retro and an eye to the future – these are the values of this adventure.

Octave’s Team.
