Every year, as summer approaches, the statue of Giant Octave makes its transhumance in the company of numerous cyclists to its summer quarters at the summit of the Col du Tourmalet.<\/p>\n
Our house “Chez Octave” took advantage of this cycling festival to unveil itself to the participants of the Mont\u00e9e du G\u00e9ant. Welcomed with a cup of coffee, they were given a tour of the premises, which we hope will become their preferred meeting place. Bruno Armirail, a Groupama FDJ professional recently returned from a brilliant Giro and a member of the project, then guided all the cyclists to the start of the Tourmalet climb.<\/p>\n

[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” text_font=”Plantin||||||||” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]In the afternoon, the Octave team officially inaugurated their home in the presence of Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France, Jean Salomon, prefect of the Hautes-Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es, Jean-Louis Cazaubon, vice-president of the Occitanie region, Michel P\u00e9lieu, president of the Conseil D\u00e9partemental, Jacques Brune, president of the Communaut\u00e9 de Communes de Haute-Bigorre, Claude Cazabat, mayor of Bagn\u00e8res-de-Bigorre and other local elected representatives who have been supporting the project for several months.
\nAlso present were the organizations and foundations that believed in our project and provided the necessary funding: \u00c9ric Perichon, director of the Gers – Hautes Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es – Comminges territory of BNP, Christian Caussidery, director, and Herv\u00e9 Deaubeuf, development officer of the EDF “Une rivi\u00e8re un territoire” agency, the Initiative Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es agency and Andr\u00e9 Perrin, director of SDD65.[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/chez-octave.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Inauguration-chez-octave-Discours-des-elus-en-presence-de-Christian-Prudhomme.jpg” _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” title_text=”Inauguration-chez-octave-Discours-des-\u00e9lus-in-presence-of-Christian-Prudhomme” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” text_font=”Plantin||||||||” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n
